Accretion of Knowledge

This series attempts to capture the vastness of knowledge offered by natural spaces, in this case, bodies of water, a beach on the Salish Sea in Washington State, forests of my youth. The forms of the images are inspired by the forms of sacred texts, the documentation of ideas through books, and sacred architecture. The knowledge described within the pieces is intuitive rather than rational. Repetitive photographic images are presented in fields with hand drawn elements and meditative marks. My aim is to make an ephemeral moment durable.
